GRI Foundation Announces Two Partnerships: Entertainment-Driven Philanthropy from Better Noise Music Company and In-Kind, Advanced Research Services from Fors Marsh Group

Better Noise is helping mobilize leaders in the music industry to raise funds and break the stigma around substance use disorders.
SILVER SPRING, MD — February 24, 2020—The Global Recovery Initiatives Foundation (GRI) today announced two significant partnerships that will help drive philanthropic support to community-based organizations providing recovery services for people with substance use disorder (SUD). Early recovery, which typically lasts one to two years, is the longest yet least funded aspect of recovery from drug and alcohol use and reuse.
The Better Noise Music Company partnership is mobilizing leaders in the music industry to raise funds and break the stigma around SUD through a series of pop culture events.
Fors Marsh Group (FMG) is providing seed funding and up to $1 million of in-kind research and communication services to identify and promote recovery effectiveness measures and to increase philanthropic leaders’ understanding of the need to invest in recovery services. FMG is a leading provider of behavioral research and strategy services in the federal, health, and nonprofit markets.
